Mr. Florentino S. Dulalia Jr.
Rallying the real estate profession
For more than four decades, Florentino S. Dulalia Jr. worked as a licensed real estate broker, consultant, and a developer. But more than building his own professional career, he championed the cause of the industry globally and placed Filipino real estate professionals on the world stage.
The chairman and CEO of Dulalia Group of Companies served as the World President of FIABCI in 2020-2021, becoming the first Filipino to be at the helm of the Paris-based organization of real estate professionals around the world.
Before landing the prestigious title, Mr. Dulalia headed various business and real estate organizations in the Philippines as chairman/president, namely: the Philippine Federation of Real Estate Service Professionals, Inc. (PFRESPI), Philippine Association of Realty Consultants & Specialists (PARCS), Real Estate Brokers Association of the Philippines (REBAP), and the Chamber of Real Estate and Builders’ Associations, Inc. (CREBA), which he served for more than 28 years.
Mr. Dulalia is also known as the real estate industry’s “Association Man,” having founded two: FIABCI-Philippines International, Inc. and the Philippine Federation of Real Estate Service Professionals, Inc. (PFRESPI), an organization of real estate practitioners composed of brokers, appraisers, assessors, consultants, and salespersons.
As Founding President of FIABCI Philippines, he represented the Philippine Chapter through his active involvement in all FIABCI Global Events and spearheaded several major activities, including the hosting of the FIABCI Asia Pacific Regional Summit in 2006 and 2015. He also initiated the holding of Property and Real Estate Excellence Awards during the 19th FIABCI Asia Pacific Regional Summit, which later became an annual event and a major income-generating project of the chapter.
He became part of the FIABCI International Board of Directors after being elected president of FIABCI Asia Pacific Region in 2016. During his term, he paved the way for the formation of FIABCI Chapters in Thailand, Mongolia, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Cambodia. He also initiated a fund-drive for FIABCI International Headquarters to have its permanent office.
He currently serves as the Chairman Emeritus of PARCS, FIABCI-Philippines, and PFRESPI. He was appointed co-chairman of the Unity Council for Real Estate Practitioners, created by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) to establish the Accredited Integrated Professional Organization (AIPO) of the real estate service profession and organize real estate service professionals which currently exceed 45,000 practitioners.
By serving these various organizations, Mr. Dulalia garnered more than 300 awards and recognitions, including “Outstanding Professional in the field of Real Estate Service” awarded by PRC in 2015 and the FIABCI Medal of Honor in 2017 for his outstanding service to the federation.
Now, Mr. Dulalia can add another feather in his cap: being this year’s “Outstanding Board Member” at the Philippine Council of Associations and Association Executives’ (PCAAE) ANG SUSI Awards, the first and only search for the best associations and association executives in the Philippines which recognizes the association sector’s contributions to national sustainable development.
