PCAAE conducted a webinar on “Re-energizing Associations: Governance and People” on September 29, 2021 which was attended by 28 local and overseas participants.

The featured speaker was Mike Morrissey, CEO of the European Cancer Organization and currently the President of the European Society of Association Executives (ESAE). Mike cited examples on how both governance and people are important factors in creating a winning partnership between members and executives and how dynamism is the driving force to ensure that associations remain re-energized, relevant and sustainable. He further mentioned that a good governance model creates an atmosphere of trust where there is mutual respect between the Board, committees and management staff.

This webinar is part of a series of monthly online learning sessions for association leaders and professionals, themed, “Pathways to Recovery” which aims to provide participants with insights from fellow association leaders as well as update them on current trends and practical tools to further improve their work in providing service to their members.
