PCAAE conducted a webinar on “Bring Me Higher Love: Creating Customer & Member Loyalty through Engagement” on June 23, 2021, attended by 28 local and overseas participants. The session showed how member engagement can make an association’s member base experience what will take them to the next level of love and loyalty.

This webinar is part of a series of monthly online learning sessions for association leaders and professionals, themed, “Pathways to Recovery,” which aims to provide participants with insights from fellow association leaders as well as update them on current trends and practical tools to further improve their work in providing service to their members.

The featured speaker was Robert Barnes, CAE, whose association management career spans 25 years, 3 countries and multiple associations including Surf Life Saving Australia and Fitness Australia. Robert is currently Country Manager, Asia-Pacific, of Higher Logic Australia, an industry-leading, human-focused digital engagement platform.

Robert shared three elements and three simple steps of enhancing member engagement. The three elements include: (1) many-to-many (2) omnichannel and (3) personalization while the three basic steps are : (1) building a digital destination (platform) (2) keeping members coming back and (3) personalizing the member journey.
