PCAAE conducts CPAE course on financial management

The Philippine Council of Associations and Association Executives (PCAAE), through its PCAAE Academy, its professional training and career development center, conducted virtually the fifth module of the Certified Professional Association Executive (CPAE) program entitled, “Managing the Finance Function,” on May 19, 2021, with eight (8) CPAE-candidate participants attending.

Rizchelle S. Manaog, Program Director of CFA Society Philippines and PCAAE Board Trustee was the resource person. Rizchelle has over 14 years of experience in association management and one of the most tenured society executives in the CFA Institute – Asia Pacific. The webinar was aimed at providing participants with general knowledge on sound financial management and reporting practices that are critical for an association/organization to be successful. Discussions also ensued on how associations/organizations can thrive under these challenging and uncertain times brought by the pandemic.

The CPAE was developed to further professionalize association governance and management in the country and offers excellent career opportunities and growth for those already working or those considering to work in the association sector that includes Board members, officers, staff and professionals. The CPAE programme consists of six modules – association management, governance and legal aspects, branding, PR, marketing and communications, human resource management, financial management, and business innovation and sustainability.

The CPAE credential is granted to those who have successfully completed the 6 modules and submission of a back home action Plan plus attendance in the annual Associations Summit. It is valid for 3 years but needs to be renewed each year by attending the annual Associations Summit.
