PCAAE runs public policy advocacy webinar

PCAAE ran a webinar on public policy advocacy to emphasize the value for associations to have a voice and a place in the policy table when government enacts policies and legislations that affect them and society in general.

The virtual event, organized in cooperation with the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), themed, “Advancing Public Policy Advocacy: The ASAE Experience,” was conducted on March 10, 2021 with 28 attendees from PCAAE members and guests from overseas.

The webinar is part of a PCAAE series of monthly online learning sessions for association leaders and professionals, the aim of which is to provide participants with insights from fellow association leaders as well as update them on current trends and practical tools to further improve their work in providing service to their members.

The featured speakers were from ASAE’s Public Policy Department, namely Mary Kate Cunningham, CAE, Senior Vice President, Public Policy and Nate Fisher, Manager, Public Policy & APAC (ASAE Political Action Committee).

ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership https://www.asaecenter.org/ is a 100-years-old membership organization of more than 48,000 association executives and industry partners representing 7,400 organizations. ASAE supports the work and advocacies of PCAAE and is one of its founding pillars.
