On the invitation of its member, the Procurement and Supply Institute of Asia (PASIA), the PCAAE, represented by its Board of Trustees and management, attended and spoke at the “Asia Sustainable Procurement and Supply Chain Conference” organized by PASIA on January 30-31, 2020 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Pasay City.
In his presentation entitled, “Associations and Sustainability,” PCAAE Founder & CEO Octavio ‘Bobby’ Peralta shared PCAAE’s sustainability work and advocacy in contributing to the sustainable development goals (SDGs) of the country, notably on what PCAAE members do in the areas of economic, environmental, social and governance responsibilities. He highlighted the outstanding sustainable development programs undertaken by PCAAE members which were recognized by its annual “Ang Susi” Awards as well as the aspects of association sustainability in terms of programmatic and financial sustainabililty.
The two-day event provided participants with a platform to understand better and discuss the importance of sustainability in the context of the supply chain and procurement industry and profession.
