The Philippine Council of Associations and Association Executives (PCAAE) shined the spotlight to its four (4) members during the “Ang Susi” Awards 2019 for winning the PCAAE Outstanding Project Awards. The winning members were honored during the “Ang Susi” Awards 2019 & Gala Dinner on November 27, 2019 in conjunction with the PCAAE’s Associations Summit 7 (please see separate story) held at the Philippine International Convention Center.

“Ang Susi” stands for “Associations nurture National Growth through Social Unity and Sustainability Innovations.” It recognizes the key role of associations and other member-serving organizations in national sustainable development. It consists of individual and institutional awards. The individual awards are bestowed on outstanding career professionals who have sustainably managed an association and produced remarkable results (“Association Executive of the Year”) and a member of the board of an association or other non-profit membership organizations in the country have demonstrated outstanding service to the association community, to the practice of association good governance, and to the ideals and advocacy of PCAAE (“Association Board Member of the Year”).

The Outstanding Project Awards are given to membership organizations that have demonstrated outstanding achievements in helping the environment, empowering people, serving communities, enhancing trade and industry, developing technology solutions, and for being agent of change. The four (4) winning members were: ASKI Foundation, Inc. for its project on “Building Resilient Communities through Disaster Preparedness” (Environmental Impact Category); and for its project on “Implementation of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Program in Rural Communities” (Community Service Category); CFA Society Philippines for its project on “Philippine Junior Finance and Investment Summit 2019” (People Empowerment Category);); Philippine Retailers Association for its project on “The Retail Executive Circle Breakfast Forum (RETAILREX) (Industry Service Category); and, United Architects of the Philippines for its project on “#GetAnArchitect” (Change Catalyst Category).
