Launched in 2011, the IAC is an annual event aimed at establishing a unique learning and networking platform for association leaders in India and from abroad to discuss challenges and opportunities of building a strong and sustainable community of associations.

The conference, themed “The Interconnected World of Associations,” highlighted the sharing of best practices on association management and governance, as well as emphasized the power of and the need for collaboration among associations to contribute to further advance social, economic, and environmental development.

The event dealt with the issues of membership, branding and communication, government and media relations, data security and privacy, cross-cultural dimensions, governance, and collaboration strategies. Altogether, there were 24 speakers and panellists from professional societies and trade associations and chambers. Two other side events – the IAC Association Excellence Awards 2019 and Gala Dinner and the Knowledge Exchange of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) – were also part of the congress program.
