TPB, PCAAE sign MOA, boost cooperation

The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), the promotions and marketing arm of the Department of Tourism, and the Philippine Council of Associations and Association Executives (PCAAE), the country’s “association for associations”, signed a memorandum of agreement to boost cooperation in making the Philippines a destination of choice for international business events and association meetings. The partnership also aims to grow the domestic convention and conference market by supporting the local government units, associations, and association service providers successfully organize their events throughout the country.

The PCAAE was founded on November 20, 2013 under the auspices of TPB, the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) and the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP) and with support from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE). Its purpose is to advance the association management profession and make associations well-governed and sustainable.

TPB is responsible for marketing and promoting the Philippines domestically and internationally as a major global tourism destination, highlighting the uniqueness and assisting the development of its tourism products and services, with the end in view of increasing tourist arrivals and tourism investment, specifically marketing the Philippines as a major convention destination in Asia.
