PCAAE’s ‘X3’ mini-conference successful

The Philippine Council of Associations and Association Executives (PCAAE) successfully held its 1st mini-conference offering dubbed, “X3”, on a high note, drawing 70 participants from its members and other organizations. The event themed, “Show, Shout, and Stand Out: Learn Branding, PR and Communications in a Day”, was held on July 4, 2018 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).

The concept of “X3” is to cover in a day 3 related topics that are top-of-mind of professionals working in associations and in other organizations which will be delivered by experts in each field. For this first ‘X3’ event, the topics covered focused on three key areas of branding, public relations, and communications.

For topic 1 on “Building your Brand through your Visual Conversation”, Chris Dingcong, Managing Director of the Hong-Kong-based Springtime Design Limited, presented the importance and the strategies in creating a holistic communication system. As a brand consultant, Mr. Dingcong also discussed the merit of establishing a brand identity to help organizations make real connections with their members and target audience, including the critical significance of a logo in promoting a brand.

On topic 2, “Your Brand is How your Public Makes it”, Mr. Ramon “Bong” Osorio, Communications Consultant at Dentsu-Aegis Network, covered the whole aspect of the role of public relations in associations from the traditional approach to current era of the digital world.

On topic 3, “Communication that Clicks and Sticks”, Ms. Sheila Samonte-Pesayco, President & CEO of Writer’s Edge, shared her career experience on developing good communicating and writing skills, capped with 10 tips on how this is done.
