PCAAE holds CPAE seminar on marketing and technology

The PCAAE Academy, the professional training and career development center of the Philippine Council of Associations and Associations Executives (PCAAE), conducted a one-day seminar on “Marketing and Technology” on May 23, 2018 at the PCAAE headquarters in Makati City.

The seminar, which is under PCAAE’s Certified Professional Association Executive (CPAE) program, was attended by 10 participants who earned continuing education unit (CEU) points which are added to their credit towards getting a CPAE credential.

The CPAE was developed to further professionalize association governance and management in the country and offers excellent career opportunities and growth for those already working or those considering to work in the association sector that includes Board members, officers, staff and professionals.

The seminar covered topics on marketing and branding as well as technology for associations in the morning and afternoon, respectively. The morning session tackled various ways in strengthening an association’s brand as well as the role of effective marketing in recruiting and retaining members. The afternoon sessions focused on digital disruption, the modern workspace in the digital age, and business continuity for associations.

The speakers who shared their knowledge during the seminar were Ms. Gwen Albarracin, President, Asia Marketing Federation; Mr. Yayu Javier, President & Chief Operating Officer, AVANZA; and Global Sapphire Inc.’s Mr. Kendrick L. Chan, Director for Professional Services; Mr. Eduard Christopher Dela Cruz, Sr. Manager for Information Management and Security; and Mr. Victor Mangulabnan; Assistant Vice President, Infrastructure and Virtualization.
