PCAAE Academy holds association governance seminar

The Philippine Council of Associations and Association Executives (PCAAE), through its PCAAE Academy, conducted its first-of-its-kind seminar for association board members and executives called, “Association Governance Program” (AGP), on March 16, 2017 at the Best Western Antel Hotel in Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines. This is the second training course offering for the year under PCAAE’s Certified Professional Association Executive (CPAE) programme.

The CPAE course was developed by PCAAE to further professionalize association governance and management in the country and offers excellent career opportunities and growth for those already working or those considering to work in the association sector that includes Board members, officers, staff and professionals. The PCAAE Academy is the career development center of the Association created for the members all over the country.

The topics covered in the seminar included association governance models, structures and documents, board duties, policy creation, strategic planning, and legal and regulatory aspects. The main resource persons were Mr. Octavio B. Peralta, PCAAE CEO & Founder and Atty. Julio P. G. Bucoy, Corporate Secretary of the Certified Financial Analyst Society of the Philippines.
