PCAAE’s “Ang Susi” Awards 2016 recognize outstanding projects

awards-winnersThe Philippine Council of Associations and Association Executives (PCAAE), through its “Ang Susi Awards,” recognized six (6) associations and membership organizations for their outstanding projects during the gala dinner and awards night on November 23, 2016 in conjunction with the Associations Summit 4 (AS4) held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).

The “Ang Susi” Awards symbolizes the key contribution that associations and association executives give to national sustainable development. Affectionately called simply, ‘Susi’ Awards, it is the acronym for “Associations nurture National Growth through Social Unity and Sustainability Innovations” and has both institutional and individual awards.

The “Ang Susi” Awards is composed of the institutional “Outstanding Project Awards” and the individual “Association Executive of the Year Award” and the “Association Board Member of the Year” award. The Outstanding Project Awards recognizes the associations’ achievements that have made an impact and contribution to national sustainable development. The six (6) categories under this Award are namely: environmental impact, people empowerment, community service, industry development, technology innovation and change catalyst. The “Association Executive and Association Board Member of the Year” Awards are individual recognition to an association executive and board member who have contributed significantly to the advancement of the association management profession and to the entire association community as a key leader in a membership-based/non-profit organization and has demonstrated outstanding achievements in advancing the mission of that organization (please see separate stories for executive of the year and board member of the year awardees).

Winners of this year’s Outstanding Project Awards are: Manila Bay SUNSET Partnership Program for its “Manila Bay Clean Up Drive” project (Environmental Impact Award); Philippine Institute of Supply Management for its “National Certification Program” (People Empowerment Award); National Confederation of Cooperatives (NATCCO)for its “Aflatoun Social & Financial Education Program” (Community Service Award); ASKI Multi-Purpose Cooperatives and Cement Manufacturers Association of the Philippines, Inc. for their “Strengthening Agriculture Value Chains at ASKI” and “Road Safety Program, respectively (Industry Development Award); National Confederation of Cooperatives for its “NATCCO E-Learning Program” (Technology Innovation Award); and Ligao Woman’s Club for its “Heart-Based LWC Initiatives & Volunteerism).
